GE PACSystems RX7i is a rack-based programmable automation controller platform designed for machine, process, and material-handling control. Its modular architecture combines an RX7i CPU, power supply, I/O and communications modules on a VME64 backplane, with support for selected Series 90-70 modules and expansion racks. Depending on CPU model, built-in Ethernet and serial interfaces provide programming, HMI connectivity, and data exchange using services such as SRTP and Ethernet Global Data. The platform supports discrete and analog I/O, configurable program and data memory, and ladder logic for real-time control tasks. RX7i hardware can also integrate compatible VME modules, making module compatibility and firmware revision important considerations when maintaining or extending installed systems.
