MOTOROLA MVME162-20 Embedded Controller

The MOTOROLA MVME162-20 is an embedded controller. It features a 25MHz 32-bit Microprocessor, either an MC68LC040 with 8KB of cache and MMU, or an optional 25MHz MC68040 with 8KB of cache, MMU, and FPU. The controller offers 1MB, 4MB, or 8MB of shared Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM).

Additional features include an optional VMEchip2 A32/D64 VMEbus master/slave interface with system controller function. It also has 512KB SRAM3, four IndustryPack Ports, and an Ethernet Transceiver Interface with 32-Bit Local Bus DMA. A Serial Port B Interface: EIA-232-D (DCE) Serial Interface Module, Model Number: SIMM06, is also included.

This controller provides a powerful and functional CPU, which can be customer-configured for specific applications. It combines the mechanical ruggedness of VME with the cost-effectiveness of PC-type products.
