The eddy current sensor, when combined with the signal converter CON, creates an oscillator circuit. The amplitude of oscillation decreases when a metal object is placed in front of the sensor, and the level of damping is correlated to the distance between the sensor and the measured object. Our sensors and converters are pre-calibrated, eliminating the need for any on-site changes. The only adjustment required is to the gap between the sensor and the object to achieve the desired output signal at the converter's output.
