AB 1771-VHSC, also referred to as VHSC module, is a very high-speed counter module manufactured by Allen-Bradley, which is now Rockwell Automation. It was discontinued in December 2019.
The VHSC module was designed for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and offered features like:
High-speed counting: It could handle counting applications with rapid signal transitions.
Quadrature encoder support: It could be configured to read signals from rotary encoders for precise positioning and motion control.
Multiple input/output options: It provided connections for both AC and DC sensors and actuators, along with analog inputs and outputs.
