GE industrial automation products encompass legacy GE Fanuc programmable logic controllers and I/O platforms, including Series 90-20, Series 90-30, Series 90-70, PACSystems RX3i and RX7i, VersaMax, and earlier Series One, Three, Five, and Six families. These systems use platform-specific CPUs, rack or baseplate assemblies, power supplies, discrete and analog I/O modules, and communication interfaces. RX3i employs a modular backplane architecture and supports selected Series 90-30 I/O modules, subject to hardware compatibility. VersaMax provides compact and distributed control configurations, while Genius I/O and Field Control support field-level signal acquisition and remote I/O networking. Across these platforms, controllers execute machine sequences, process sensor inputs, manage actuators, and exchange data with supervisory systems. Module selection should be verified against the installed controller, backplane, firmware revision, and communication requirements.
