The Allen-Bradley ControlLogix 1756 family is a modular chassis-based control platform built around Logix controllers, 1756 I/O, communication, motion, and specialty modules. Its architecture uses a common chassis and backplane that allow processors, network interfaces, discrete and analog I/O, power supplies, and application-specific modules to be combined in one system. ControlLogix supports deterministic control, distributed I/O, peer communication, diagnostics, redundancy options, and integration with industrial Ethernet and legacy Rockwell networks depending on module generation.
