Product Description
-
The 177897-01 Output Relay Module is the relay/output component of the Bently Nevada 3701/44 ADAPT Aeroderivative Monitor.
-
It provides discrete relay outputs used for alarm, trip, protection-fault, and other output logic functions as configured in the monitoring system.
-
It works in conjunction with the processor module, which drives the relay states according to user-programmed logic inside the monitor software.
-
Supports both simplex and duplex (redundant) processor module configurations, with relay driving split accordingly when in redundant mode.
Technical Specifications
| Parameter | Value / Description |
|---|---|
| Number of SPDT relay outputs | 8 programmable SPDT relays |
| “Protection Fault” relay type | 1 SPDT relay (dedicated) used to indicate when protection capability is compromised; this relay is normally energized and de-energizes on fault conditions |
| Relay configuration | Relays are arranged in four banks of two relays each; each bank has a switch to set relays as Normally De-Energized (NDE) or Normally Energized (NE) |
| Virtual DPDT outputs | 4 “virtual” DPDT outputs can be formed by pairing SPDT relays |
| Wiring termination | Pluggable connectors on the module; relay wiring exits from the output module side of the monitor, opposite sensor inputs |
| Redundant processor mode behavior | In duplex (dual processor) configuration, processor module one drives relays 1, 3, 5, 7 and module two drives relays 2, 4, 6, 8; protection fault relay is driven if either processor has a protection-fault condition |
| Relay logic configuration | User‐configurable in monitoring software, using a graphical logic editor; logic determines when each relay should actuate based on configured alarms, trip conditions, etc. |
| Voltage / Power for relay coil | Operates from the monitor’s +24 V DC power supply; coil current as per relay specification (typical industrial relay coils) |
| Physical location / mounting | Installed in the output module slot of the 3701/44 monitor within the terminal base; fitted alongside processor and input modules |
| Operating temperature | –30 °C to +65 °C (ambient) |
| Storage temperature | –40 °C to +85 °C |
| Relative humidity | 0-95 % non-condensing |
| Shock and vibration | Vibration: 5 g, 57-500 Hz; Shock: 15 g, 11 ms |
| Enclosure / mounting orientation | Bulkhead or rail mount (depending on terminal base form) |
