FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

IS200EHPAG1D is an Exciter Gate Pulse Amplifier Board developed by General Electric for the EX2100 Excitation Control System. The EHPA board is a key component in the 100 mm EX2100™ system, responsible for processing gate commands from the ESEL board to control the firing of up to six Silicon Controlled Rectifiers (SCRs) on the Power Bridge.

It also functions as a monitoring interface for:

• Bridge current conduction

• Airflow across the bridge

• Bridge temperature

Powered by a nominal 125 V DC source from the EPDM, the board includes an onboard DC/DC converter to ensure consistent SCR gating across the full input voltage range.

LED indicators on the board provide real-time status updates for:

• Bridge current and temperature

• Line filter and fan operation
