GE HE693DNT250 DeviceNet Scanner (DNT250) Communications Interface Module

Overview

The HE693DNT250 DeviceNet Scanner (DNT250) is an intelligent communication interface module designed to provide DeviceNet scanner functionality for GE Fanuc Series 90-30 PLC systems. It enables the connection of up to 63 DeviceNet slave nodes, allowing flexible and scalable industrial network integration.

Depending on the selected baud rate and cable type, DeviceNet nodes can be installed at distances of up to 1,500 feet (457 meters) from the PLC. The DNT250 maps polled data directly into the PLC’s %I, %Q, %AI, and %AQ registers, enabling the ladder logic programmer to treat the entire DeviceNet network as a large distributed I/O module.

Data exchange between the DNT250 and the PLC is handled through high-speed backplane I/O, ensuring fast and efficient communication performance for real-time industrial control applications.
