HIMA Strengthens Latin American Presence with New Offices in Colombia and Peru

Expanding Regional Footprint

On March 3 and 5, HIMA Group officially opened new offices in Bogotá, Colombia, and Lima, Peru. The move highlights HIMA’s long-term commitment to Latin America and reinforces its ability to deliver advanced safety automation solutions locally.

Engaging Industry Leaders

The inauguration events hosted customers and partners from oil & gas, chemical, and petrochemical industries. Executive forums and technical sessions showcased HIMA’s expertise in digital process safety and emphasized the growing importance of operational technology (OT) security in today’s interconnected industrial environments.

Latin America: Growth Opportunities

Latin America’s rich resources, expanding industrial infrastructure, and ongoing energy investments provide significant growth potential. HIMA’s dedicated local teams are ready to support both new projects and upgrades, helping customers implement state-of-the-art safety solutions efficiently.

A Legacy of Regional Experience

Since 1995, HIMA has collaborated with regional partners and established a substantial installed base of safety systems. Following the 2021 Argentina entity, the Colombia and Peru offices mark another milestone in the company’s regional expansion strategy.

Local Presence and Partner Network

The new offices offer sales, engineering, project management, and long-term service support, all backed by HIMA’s global organization. In areas without direct presence, a network of 14 certified local partners ensures professional support and consistent service quality throughout the region.

Strategic Role of Bogotá and Lima Offices

The Bogotá office will act as a regional hub for market development and project oversight, while the Lima office will focus on supporting local and neighboring projects, including engineering, commissioning, and service coordination.

Commitment to Customers and Safety

CEO Jörg de la Motte described the openings as key steps in strengthening partnerships and delivering sustainable value through digital safety solutions. Latin America Director Brenda Moreno highlighted HIMA’s goal: provide consistent, high-quality services, support trusted partnerships, and enhance operational safety and reliability across the region.

Looking Ahead

With over 50 years of safety expertise and more than 50,000 systems installed worldwide, HIMA continues to expand its regional team and deepen collaboration with system integrators in Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela, and Mexico.
