Humanoid Robots Take Center Stage at Taipei’s Biggest Automation Show

If you’ve ever wondered when sci-fi would finally meet the factory floor, mark your calendar for August 19–22. That’s when Taipei’s Nangang Exhibition Center transforms into a playground of next-generation robotics for the 2026 Taipei International Automation Industrial Exhibition — and this year, humanoid robots are stealing the spotlight.
The annual event, part of the larger Intelligent Asia 2026 showcase, is rolling out the red carpet for everything from bipedal humanoids and four-legged robo-dogs to collaborative arms and autonomous vehicle systems. But the real buzz? Physical AI — machines that don’t just think, but actually interact with the physical world.
Among the headliners is Delta Electronics, which is making its debut with an embodied-intelligence dual-arm collaborative robot. Visitors can even watch it sketch custom portraits on command — just by speaking. The company is also showing off highly integrated joint modules packed with dual encoders, force sensors and temperature monitors — the building blocks of tomorrow’s humanoid workforce.
Not to be outdone, Techman Robot is showcasing its TM AI Cobot series — the TM25S and TM30S — which come with native vision and AI baked right in. And yes, there’s a wheeled humanoid robot making an appearance too.
From AI vision systems and precision drives to motion control and edge computing, the show floor reads like a who’s who of the automation supply chain. Local heavyweights like Hiwin, Solomon and Harmony are also rolling out their latest solutions, targeting manufacturing, logistics, semiconductors and even service industries.
The message is clear: the next frontier of AI isn’t just about better algorithms — it’s about putting those algorithms to work in the real world, one robot at a time. And if this year’s Taipei automation show is any indication, that future is arriving faster than anyone expected.
